The stay
The main house is 5,745 square feet of ranch home on the family's land outside Salinas — 4 bedrooms, 7 beds, 5 bathrooms, and a kitchen built for cooking for everybody at once. Outside there is a heated pool, a hot tub and a fire pit; inside, a pool table, a piano and a fireplace for the evening. Starlink keeps everyone connected even this far out.
Outside the fence line there are horses in the pasture, oaks that have been here far longer than the house, and flower beds the family keep themselves. The land runs to golden hills in every direction.
It suits groups that have outgrown hotel rooms — families taking a week together, teams in for a tournament, work crews, reunions. The house sleeps 12, and up to 20 with the bunkhouse. Monterey, Carmel and the aquarium are an easy drive, as are Pinnacles and Laguna Seca, and the ranch is what you come back to at the end of the day.
The ranch is a working family property with three homes on it. You have the main house and its grounds to yourselves; the cottage across the way is let separately, and the family are on the land. There is also a very friendly cat.

Would highly recommend for anyone with a large group. Plenty of beds, hang out space, silverware, dishes — a team of 20, which is not always the case even when advertised as such. Also, such a serene and relaxing setting.
We had a great stay at this beautiful, spacious ranch house. The house was very comfortable, and there was plenty of cookware and everything we needed for our stay.
It has everything. Great kitchen, many full bathrooms, heated pool, hot tub. Margaret was very responsive and everyone we met was super friendly.
